Grain Matching

Much like painting a picture or composing a musical score, we carefully craft and assemble each element of our projects by aligning the grains of each board, panel, etc. This is called grain matching. Grain matching allows us to naturally design and enhance the harmony of any project. We begin this process by devising an overall plan and selecting the most appropriate lumber, assessing the strongest patterns in the grain, determining the cuts and then labeling the components for preparation. It is best to work with wood harvested from the same tree. We are always inspired by the finest details expressed in wood’s grain.
